Happy mid-week, everyone! Fall is finally upon us! There is something about fall that is just so special to me. It always brings me back to my childhood; playing in the crispy leaves, sipping on hot chocolate and snuggling up in my favorite chunky sweater near the fire place. My favorite sweater growing up used to be my reindeer sweater that was extremely itchy and one that I always paired with either sweats or leggings. Besides wearing sweaters as pajamas as a child, I took a long break from wearing them outside the house. It wasn’t until high school that I found myself embracing all types of sweaters. I found that they are extremely versatile and went well with everything including skirts and dresses.
Though Southern California can be warmer than most places this time of year, we are finally experiencing cooler temps! I love that it’s warm enough to get away with bare legs yet cool enough to wear sweaters! I’m bringing out all my cozy pieces and I am so excited that I finally get to wear all of my Fall favorites from New York and Company!
This particular look is a combination of my Autumn favorites. I am obsessed with my cozy cowl-neck sweater because it is slightly loose-fitting, yet structured and it paired so well with my new boots! These over-the-knee suede boots run true to size and they come in two different colors! They are extremely comfortable and such a great addition to my Fall/Winter wardrobe.
Speaking of favorite things, if you read my blog on a regular basis, you know New York & Company happens to be one of my go-to places for pretty much everything. Besides this cowl-neck sweater I am currently wearing, I made sure I got a variety of staples from this classic open front cardigan to this adorable detachable scarf sweater. The soft fabrics are perfect and so warm and comfy! I have a feeling they will be on heavy rotation for the rest of the season.
