Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! Right now, SoCal is experiencing the weird in between weather. You know, the weather that’s too hot to wear jackets, but unpredictable enough to always have a jacket with you to throw on.
This day in particular was 90 degrees. That’s basically summer weather! My friend’s and I decided to grab lunch at this restaurant called Fritzi in Downtown, Los Angeles. I love hanging out around this area because there is always something new and different that is opening! Before grabbing lunch we drove around and revisited this beautiful City Hall. I love the big podiums and the beautiful architecture! It always seems so empty too! (Which is nice haha). A lot of my favorite restaurants and hang out spots are in downtown. Also, most of the photos for my blog are shot there because there is such an abundance of structures in one area, such as The Walt Disney Hall and The Broad.
I decided to wear a bomber jacket with a leather skirt and a long sleeve choker tee because I like to dress comfortably, yet stylish especially when I take a day to wonder at our favorite downtown spots. I’ve partnered with Express for my perfect Fall DTLA look! My bomber jacket from Express is so lightweight and the fit is impeccable! One of the great things about bomber jackets is the variety of thick fabrics you can get. I love my super-light weight jacket because it’s the perfect transitional piece for early fall. I felt very comfortable with this outfit on, despite the scorching heat. Even at night when the temperatures dropped, it was enough to keep me warm especially with the long sleeve shirt underneath! The key to dressing in unpredictable weather is layering. I always make sure that I have a cute outwear or sweater handy. I’m happy that bomber jackets have officially made a comeback! They are the new staples for this season and Express has over a dozen different styles to choose from. Now I am off to shop for more bomber jackets, hopefully with a thicker fabric this time for those freezing winter days to come. XO
